Custom agents
Yours will be something else
Expert Witness and Buying & Selling are the two we can show you. They are not the typical case — the typical case is an agent built for one company, running one company's procedures, that nobody outside it will ever see.
If your team repeats it every week against documents, there is probably an agent in it
How one gets built
Four steps, and none of them start with a model
The work is mostly in the first step. Once a procedure is written down properly, building the agent is the straightforward part — which is why the first conversation is about your procedure and not about us.
We write the procedure down
Usually with the person who actually runs it, not the person who owns the process diagram. What they read, in what order, and the judgement calls they make without noticing.
We agree the guardrails
Where the agent must stop and ask, what it is never allowed to merge or infer, and what it does when a source is missing. These are versioned with the procedure, not bolted on.
It runs on your documents
On a real matter, with you reading the output against the sources. Procedures change at this point — that is the useful part, not a setback.
It goes on the ledger
Every run recorded: who started it, which version it used, what it read, what it cost. Your admin owns the procedure from then on.
Custom agents
Most of what we build never leaves the company it was built for
Custom agents are the work. They run inside one company, on that company’s procedures and documents, and most of them we will never be able to name — which is rather the point of how they are scoped. Expert Witness is simply the one we can show you, because a group of firms agreed to share it.
Yours will be something else. Bring the procedure your team already follows and the agent gets built around it, not the other way round.
Your SOP becomes the agent
It arrives as a numbered procedure with an owner, a version and a run count — the same steps, in the same order, every time, with the guardrails written in and every finding carrying its source.
Is it a fit?
The industry matters less than the shape of the work. If these are true of something your team does every week, there is an agent in it.
- 1The steps are written down, or could be — the same ones, in the same order.
- 2It runs against documents, not vibes, and those documents have sources worth citing.
- 3Someone has to be able to check the result afterwards and see how it got there.
- 4It happens often enough that doing it by hand is the expensive part.

Custom agents
Bring one procedure, not a strategy
We would rather look at one thing your team does every week than talk about where agents are going. If an agent turns out to be the wrong answer, that is a useful hour and we will say so.
An hour with your team on what agents do and where they fail. Remote or in person, no cost, and you do not have to be a customer.
